Overview
This policy explains what data this website collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled. The short version: as little as possible, nothing is sold to third parties, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
This site is operated by Loss Gain Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Loss Gain Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this site. Company registration details and the registered office can be provided on request.
Information we collect
The site itself collects no personal information unless you actively provide it — for example, by sending an email, submitting a form, or leaving feedback. If you make a purchase, external payment providers process your name, email and payment details under their own privacy policies. Loss Gain Ltd does not see or store your full payment details.
Why we process it
We process contact and enquiry information with your consent so we can respond. Purchases are processed to perform a contract with you and meet legal obligations, including UK tax and accounting records. Aggregate analytics are processed under legitimate interests to understand how the site is used. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies & analytics
This site uses privacy-focused analytics that do not use cookies or track individuals across sites. It reports aggregate, anonymised figures only, such as page views, referrers and country-level location. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set. If this changes, a cookie consent banner will be added and this policy updated.
How long we keep data
Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve the conversation, then deleted, typically within 12 months. Purchase and payment records are retained for as long as UK tax law requires, currently 6 years. Aggregate analytics data contains no personal identifiers and is not linked to you individually.
Third-party services
Hosting, payments, email and analytics are provided by third-party services. Each processes only the data required to deliver its function under its own privacy policy. Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA under an approved transfer mechanism, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to how we process your personal data; to port your data where technically feasible; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data has been mishandled. Since this site stores almost nothing, the fastest route is simply to get in touch and ask.
Children’s data
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site evolves. The latest version always lives at this address, with the revision date shown above.
